The T-14 "Armata" is a modern, next-generation Russian main battle tank based on the versatile Armata platform. It was designed to gradually replace older tanks such as the T-72, T-80, and T-90. Its most distinctive features include an unmanned turret, advanced protection systems, and a highly digitized vehicle architecture. The three-person crew sits in a protected capsule within the hull, which is intended to increase survivability in combat. First publicly unveiled in 2015, the T-14 is considered one of the most ambitious Russian tank projects of our time, but it remains in service only in limited numbers.
