The earlier version of the Sd.Kfz 250 with hexagonal armour was one of the most widely used German armoured personnel carriers in WW2.
The type had been in production and service since 1941.
From 1943 onwards, the vehicles began to be subsequently replaced by a later type that allowed a simpler production, the Sd.Kfz 250/1 Neue Ausf.A..
However, both versions remained in service until the end of the war.

(The model kit originally comes from MK72 moulds that Special Hobby bought up some time ago. When first released, the model was awarded Model of the Year).

Interesting camouflage scheme in three versions.

• The first depicts the aircraft in winter camouflage as seen on the Eastern Front.
• The second scheme also features a vehicle used on the Eastern Front, this time in grey.
• The last of the three options shows the personal vehicle of the commander of the 90th Light Infantry Division, Major General von Kleemann, as he used itin Africa. The grey paint was sprayed over with sand paint on site.
