3,7cm PaK 36 German Anti-tank Gun

Einloggen und Bewertung schreiben
During the early stages of the war, the German Wehrmacht was equipped with the 3.7cm PaK-36 anti-tank guns. These were designed in the 1930s and first entered service in the Spanish Civil War.
Before World War 2, the guns were also exported to several countries, including China, Finland or the Soviet Union. The latter also bought the licence rights and produced them as the M1930 (1-K) gun.
At the beginning of the war, the PaK-36 was capable of penetrating the armour of practically all armoured vehicles. Gradually, as the enemy vehicle's armour protection became more efficient, the PaK-36 lost its superiority and was replaced by new and more powerful guns.
Nevertheless, the PaK 36 served until the end of the war, its performance being partly enhanced by the use of the anti-tank projectile Stielgranate 41.
