Raupenschlepper Ost - RSO / 01 Type 470

The Raupenschlepper Ost, short RSO, was built in 1942, after in the winter of 1941/42 on the East Front had to stuck that even all-wheel drive trucks in the Russian sludge had to be stuck. Steyr developed the RSO in collaboration with Ferdinand Porsche using components of Steyr 1500 A.
The RSO / 01 went to serial production in 1942. With the subspecies, about 28,000 pieces were produced until the end of the war and even after the war were still produced modifications in Germany, Austria and the USSR
