The KTO Rosomak "Green Devil" is the combat variant of the Polish Rosomak wheeled infantry fighting vehicle used in Afghanistan. Based on the Finnish Patria AMV, the vehicle was equipped with additional armor and RPG protection nets to meet the demands of the mission in Afghanistan. The Rosomak earned the nickname "Green Devil" from Taliban fighters because the initial vehicles arrived in Afghanistan sporting their standard green home-base camouflage and proved remarkably resilient against attacks. Thanks to its high mobility, excellent protection, and powerful 30mm armament, the Rosomak was considered one of the most successful Polish vehicles of the war in Afghanistan and became a symbol of the Polish Armed Forces on overseas deployment.
