The Bedford GS OXD Mk.I was a British military 1.5-tonne truck from the OX series, developed from civilian Bedford models at the beginning of the Second World War. It featured a roughly 3.5-liter six-cylinder petrol engine producing around 72 hp, rear-wheel drive (4x2), and a four-speed gearbox. With its open cargo bed, tarpaulin cover, and short wheelbase, it was designed as a versatile "General Service" transport for supplies and troops. Produced in large numbers between 1939 and 1945, it saw service in various theaters of war and was considered robust, easy to maintain, and versatile. Despite its unassuming appearance, it was a vital logistical backbone of the British Army.
