The Sd.Kfz. 250 was a light armored personnel carrier used by the Germans forces in World War II, often used in tank reconnaissance and motorcycle rifle divisions on all fronts.
On the half-track chassis of the Sd.Kfz. 10 a tank superstructure was put on. In the older vehicles the very angled armor structure consisted of 19 armor plates; in newer vehicles it was arranged in a straight line and only consisted of 9 armor plates.
First Sd.Kfz. 250 joined the troops in the summer of 1941, the newer form from June 1943.

With a 100 hp engine, the 5-ton armored personnel carrier could reach speeds of up to 65 km/h.
The crew consisted of a maximum of 6 soldiers.
Depending on the purpose, there were different variants of the Sd.Kfz. 250/1 up to the Sd.Kfz. 250/12. The Sd.Kfz. 250/1 was the armored personnel carrier version with a crew of 6 and up to 2 machine guns.
Less commonly used in the reconnaissance role were Sd.Kfz. 250 often fought together with tanks, with the fight being conducted from the vehicle whenever possible.
