The Tyrrell P34 is the only six-wheeled vehicle in Formula 1 history. It competed in the 1976 season, with drivers Scheckter and Depailler securing a one-two finish at the Swedish Grand Prix, thereby demonstrating the car's immense potential. The P34 made its debut before the Japanese public at the season finale—the inaugural Japanese Grand Prix at Fuji Speedway. Depailler started from 13th place, worked his way up through the field, and briefly took the lead; however, he dropped back following a tire failure and ultimately finished the race in second place behind Andretti's Lotus.
