Unveiled on September 22, 1975, the Tyrrell P34 caused a sensation—hardly surprising, given that it was the first Formula 1 car with six wheels! Its design featured four front wheels to reduce aerodynamic drag while simultaneously improving braking and steering performance. Following several test runs and design adjustments, the P34 made its debut at the Spanish Grand Prix in May 1976, driven by Patrick Depailler. The major breakthrough came a month later at the Swedish Grand Prix: Jody Scheckter and Patrick Depailler secured a fantastic one-two finish for the P34, thereby demonstrating the car's potential—a fact underscored by Tyrrell's third-place finish in that year's Constructors' Championship.
