The Sd.Kfz. 182 Tiger II with Henschel turret was the main production version of the German Tiger II heavy tank from 1944/45. Unlike the early version with the Porsche turret, this variant had a more angular turret with improved shell deflection and a larger interior. The Tiger II was armed with the powerful 8.8 cm KwK 43 L/71 gun and had very strong frontal armor, making it one of the most dangerous German tanks of World War II.

It saw action in Normandy, during the Battle of the Bulge, and on the Eastern Front, among other campaigns. Despite its enormous firepower and armor, the tank suffered from high weight, mechanical problems and high fuel consumption, which often limited its operational capability.
