The Northrop F-5 series is a family of light combat aircraft developed from the late 1950s onward.
The original F-5A and F-5B variants are known as the "Freedom Fighter."
The modernized F-5E and F-5F variants are known as the "Tiger II."
Fighter Squadron Composite 111 (VFC-111), also known as the "Sundowners," is a U.S. Navy Reserve adversary formation squadron based at Naval Air Station Key West, Florida.
Currently, they operate Northrop F-5N/F Tiger II aircraft, mostly single-seat F-5Ns and one two-seat F-5F.
