The MAZ-543 / MAZ-7310 family is a series of heavy four-axle chassis with an 8×8 wheel configuration, developed at the Minsk Automobile Plant for transporting oversized military equipment, missile systems, and specialized machinery. Designed in the 1960s, these vehicles became the foundation for dozens of systems — from rocket launchers to engineering and firefighting equipment.

The chassis was powered by the robust D-12A-525 diesel engine and its later modifications, offering exceptional off-road capability, large V-203 tires, and the ability to carry extremely heavy and long loads.

The MAZ-543 / MAZ-7310 remains one of the most recognizable and influential heavy vehicles of the Soviet era — a true symbol of engineering ambition.
