Ford GPA Amphibian 1/4ton 4x4 Truck

The Ford GPA is an amphibious all-wheel drive vehicle which was commissioned in April 1942 for the US military.
In addition to the proven GPW engine, a completely new floatable hull was installed.
Propulsion in the water was provided by a stern propeller.
It participated in a number of landing operations, including the invasion of North Africa in November 1942 and the Normandy landings in June 1944.
However, production of the GPA ceased by June 1943 after some 12800 units had been produced.
