U.S. Tank Destroyer M10 (Mid Production)

Einloggen und Bewertung schreiben
The M10 tank destroyer was developed to provide U.S. forces with a tool to counter German tank tactics, which proved successful in the early stages of World War II.
It used the successful M4A2 Sherman chassis with diesel propulsion.
Armament consisted of the 76.2mm gun in an open-topped, rotating turret.
The hull featured sloped armor that was kept thin so as not to hinder maneuverability.
Brackets were attached to the turret and hull to facilitate the attachment of additional armor.
Between September 1942 and December 1943, about 5000 M10s were produced and saw service in North Africa and Western Europe.
