Nakajima Ki-84 Hayate "Aces"

Nakajima Ki-84 Hayate (“Gale”) was the most advanced fighter aircraft produced in series for the Imperial Japanese Army during the Second World War. It combined high speed, excellent manoeuvrability, powerful armament and very good performance at low and medium altitudes. When it entered frontline service in the autumn of 1944, it was one of the few Japanese aircraft capable of effectively challenging the latest American fighters.

Despite Japan’s steadily worsening military situation, many Hayate pilots achieved impressive combat records. This kit features two aircraft flown by some of the best-known aces associated with the Ki-84.br
