Messerschmitt Bf 109E-7 Trop "Braving Sand + Snow"

Einloggen und Bewertung schreiben
The Bf 109 was in active service in a number of countries from 1936 to 1954.
In frontline service since the Spanish Civil War, it remained so until the end of the Second World War, and some aircraft even in some post-war years.
The so-called Emil, this name stands for the 109 E version, was the first version of the type to be equipped with the DB601 engine.
It is probably unmistakably associated with the outbreak of hostilities, the attack on Poland, Western Europe and Scandinavia.
However, the air battle for England was the high point of the "Emil's" career, and the type was also used with no less success in the Balkans, in Africa or over Malta.
Until 1941 the "Emil" was, next to the Spritfire, the best that fighter pilots of that time could fly.
