The ZiL-131 is a three-axle, all-wheel-drive truck designed for high off-road capability and became the backbone of Soviet military and special-purpose vehicles. Its mass production began in 1966 and lasted for over two decades.

Equipped with a powerful gasoline engine and a payload capacity of up to 3.5 tons, the ZiL-131 earned a reputation for its robustness. It was widely used for troop and cargo transport, hauling specialized equipment, and towing artillery.
