With 150 mm of armor on the front and 80 mm on the sides, its hull was extremely well armored. It was armed with an improved 8.8 cm cannon. With this, it could penetrate 152 mm of armor from a distance of up to two kilometers. The majority of the production King Tigers were equipped with a production turret.
