Expected to appear middle / end of June 2026
The North American AT-6 Texan / Harvard was primarily used for training during World War II. However, North American had anticipated during the design phase that some operators would also use the Texan as a combat aircraft. After World War II, the Texan proved to be excellently suited for counter-insurgency operations and the Forward Air Control (FAC) role.
USAF squadrons flying Texans—nicknamed "Mosquito"—were deployed during the Korean War.
European nations such as France, Spain, Great Britain, and Portugal employed armed Texans in colonial conflicts or anti-communist operations in Africa.
In Greece, Texans saw combat against communist forces. They were used by both sides during the early Arab-Israeli wars. Texans also saw combat action in numerous conflicts, uprisings, and revolutions across South America.
