The Russian ZSU-23-4 Shilka anti-aircraft tank, produced by the Ulyanovsk Machine-Building Plant, entered the Soviet Army in 1962 and is still in service there.
Compared to similar Western weapons, it has advantages such as simple construction, high rate of fire and high intensity of fire. The ZSU-23-4 has undergone several major improvements over its long history of service.
Over 6,500 vehicles have been produced in total and they are used in 41 countries and territories.
