The Volkswagen Type 82 Kübelwagen was a light utility vehicle developed by Ferdinand Porsche for the Wehrmacht based on the VW Beetle. Thanks to its low weight (725 kg), simple design, and rear-wheel drive, the Kübelwagen was ideally suited for off-road use. Its air-cooled engine and low fuel consumption made it reliable and practical in the field.

During World War II, it became the German counterpart to the American Jeep Willys and saw action on all fronts.
