Audi HONG KONG R8 - 2015 Macau GT

The GT3 category races are gaining worldwide popularity, and competition is getting more brilliant all the time. Vehicles in these races are based on commercial vehicles, making the burden on the participating teams less due to severe restrictions on modifications, and so many of the competing cars have little performance difference between them. Manufacturers also develop GT3 category machines, and the R8 GT3 is based on the R8 mid-engine sports car. The first R8 was sold in 2009, and in 2015, the R8 LMS/GT3 was introduced, based on the second-generation R8. It's equipped with a 5.2-liter V-type 10-cylinder midship engine producing 500 horsepower; it showed excellent performance. In November 2015, GT3 machines from around the world gathered in Macau; the GT3 World Cup by FIA was held during the Macau Grand Prix, and Audi participated through both the European and Hong Kong teams
