Panzerkampfwagen 38 (t) Ausf. E / F

After the annexation of Czechoslovakia by Nazi Germany in 1939, the German forces were so interested in the LTvz38 light tank that they ordered its production under the designation 38(t).

This was a light tank with riveted armour and a 3.7cm gun.
The first 38(t) produced took part in the first German offensives of the war, and the 38(t) was further developed and produced in a total of 1400 examples.
The E and F versions of the 38(t)s featured upgraded armour throughout the vehicle to improve survivability and were used in the early stages of Operation Barbarossa when Nazi Germany again invaded a neighbour, this time the Soviet Union.
