The PZL P.11c was the primary fighter aircraft of the Polish Air Force when Germany invaded Poland on September 1, 1939. It saw action during the very first hours of the Second World War, engaging the German Luftwaffe over Polish territory—at a time when much of Europe was still at peace.
This 1:72 scale model kit features one aircraft from each of the four Warsaw-based fighter squadrons that formed the core of the "Pursuit Brigade" (Brygada Pościgowa)—a Polish Air Force unit established specifically for the defense of the capital. The four marking options are associated with pilots Wacław Łapkowski, Tadeusz Sawicz, Janusz Maciński, and Hieronim Dudwał.
The Arma Hobby PZL P.11c kit combines straightforward assembly with a precise reproduction of the aircraft's distinctive shape. Of particular note is the characteristic transition along the fuselage, where the semi-monocoque rear section meets the forward section, which is constructed around a metal framework.
