U.S. Water Buffalo LVT-4 (early type)

2
The Landing Vehicle was a tracked amphibious vehicle used primarily by the US Navy, US Marine Corps, and in smaller numbers by the US Army and Allied forces during World War II.
Constructed exclusively by FMC, the LVT-4 was an improved version of the LVT-2.
Unlike this, the engine was installed behind the cab, increasing cargo space and allowing the installation of a much-needed rear ramp.
The enlarged cargo floor made it possible for the first time to transport small vehicles such as the Willys Jeep and even a 105mm howitzer.
