JGSDF Type 10 MBT

The Type 10, which entered service in 2010, is a latest-generation tank used by the Japan Ground Self Defence Force (JGSDF).
It features a new Japanese-made 120mm gun and modular armour on the turret and hull.
This gives the tank impressive defensive reliability.
The small and compact tank has excellent manoeuvrability and is compatible with the modern C4I network system.
Delivery to individual units began in 2012 and currently the vehicle is mainly used for training purposes at the Fuji School of the JGSDF.
It replaces the veteran Type 74 tank.
