British Main Battle Tank Chieftain Mk. 10

Einloggen und Bewertung schreiben
The Chieftain was a second generation British main battle tank developed in the late 1950s.
It was the main equipment of the British Army between the 1960s and the 1980s and was built in many variants.
With firepower and protection being paramount, this tank was equipped with the most modern 120mm gun (L11A5) in the world at the time.
The excellent performance of the gun made the Chieftain famous.
The hull front and turret were covered with thick cast armor.
Tanks from Mk.10 onwards received the Stillbrew additional armor for additional protection.
The later installation of the 750 hp engine also improved the poor mobility of the earlier variants.
