The AH-64 Apache is an American attack helicopter with two turboshaft engines, tailwheel landing gear and a tandem cockpit for a two-person crew. It has a nose-mounted sensor unit for target acquisition and night vision systems and is armed with a 30mm M230 chaingun and typically a mix of AGM-114 Hellfire missiles and Hydra 70 unguided missiles. The AH-64D Apache Longbow is equipped with a glass cockpit and advanced sensors, the most prominent of which are the AN/APG-78 Longbow millimeter wave fire control radar (FCR) and the radar frequency interferometer (RFI). These are housed in a dome above the main rotor.
