8-Wheeled Heavy Armoured Car Sd.Kfz.232

In the first half of the Second World War, German reconnaissance units largely relied on the heavy armoured car of the Sd.Kfz.231 series.
It was also armed with a KwK30 2cm cannon and an MG34 machine gun in the turret.
The Sd.Kfz.232 with eight-wheel drive reached a top speed of 90 km/h on the road and had a reverse driver's position to enable a quick retreat from threatening situations.
The most distinctive feature was a large frame antenna mounted on the hull.
These 8-wheeled armoured cars were used in armoured reconnaissance battalions of the armoured divisions and served as the eyes of the German army from Europe and North Africa to the Eastern Front.
