The Do 335 had a revolutionary design with two engines and propellers, a cruciform tail and an ejection seat. The Do335A single-seat fighter-bomber was developed around mid-1944, but the war ended before it actually saw action. The Kübelwagen Type 82 was developed on the basis of the Volkswagen "Beetle" and featured a simple, lightweight structure with a reliable air-cooled engine and 4-wheel independent suspension.
